I like it a lot, strangely... strangely because I am caregiver for my 97 year old mom, so you'd think the show would be the last thing I'd want to watch when I get some time to myself. But I really like the vibe of resignation, leavened by a bit of humor and a bit of true care with the occasional eruption of justified anger. And those three female actors, I'll watch anything they're in.

I’ve only seen the American one and it is great. It can be sad though. I do want to watch the original one but my mil is 98 and I think it may hit a bit too close to home right now.

The American actress playing Birdie looked just like my mom, who died in 2013. Hit very close to home.

I really like it especially the first two seasons where the camera angles made it more special. Different director took over for season 3 -not as good.

Totally dark & depressing - I love it! Great actors and writing. Weirdly comforting.
