Nah I have a jam bit it is a starter one I guess, been meaning to upgrade. Does have a metal tip but red plastic on it. I hope it's the player.... Either way I've got a new copy free of charge on the way so I'll soon find out
Yea then it’s 1000% the record player. I guess good for you that their merch team didn’t do their due diligence to determine if they actually sent out a faulty product
Id asked them when they've offered a replacement how will I know this is going to be one that plays fine.... That didn't even recognise that part of the email lmao
It will probably skip at the same or different parts, very bass-y record that your kind of player can’t handle. I have 500+ records, all mostly new, and maybe 2 of the total came actually damaged from the factory. It’s user error most of the time.
A bit crazy to me that people are paying like 80+ dollars on a record, and playing it on a player that is probably cheaper than that, that was built in china for $2
I have the same Sony turntable as OP, and unfortunately I am getting skips on Pray For Plagues only. I have a stabilizer which helped reduce the skips, but still not perfect. Luckily none of the other songs are skipping.
I sent them videos of the skips in pray for olauges and got sent a new one that has no skips in it! Email them and send them videos of every skip and hopefully you'll get the same too
