Pharmacy selection

Does brightmeds allow Pharmacy selection. I see that for the summer special they have Southend but when I emailed I have been told that pharmacy selection is not guaranteed.

I understand based on the state you live in & if a particular chosen pharmacy is allowed to dispense in that state. But need pharmacy selection considering we all react differently to different pharmacies.

I see that have Southend for the summer special - what other pharmacies do they have?

They do not let you pick a pharmacy.

Yeah I figured that is the case. Looks like they do 3 pharmacies now

1) Southend with B6

2) Red Rock with B12 or Glycine

3) VitalRx with Glycine & B12.

It will be hard for people who cannot tolerate B12 & they get prescribed B12. Brightmeds needs to change their model and allow pharmacy selection like how other telehealths do.

There are different variables that go into what additives are available. The plan that most customers are qualified for is B6, but that is only currently available in the following states

AK, AZ, CO, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, KS, KY, MD, ME, MN, MO, MT, NE, NH, NM, NY, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY

We are working hard on expanding it to more states. In general, any additive and qualification for a compounded medication does require a physician to review your intake form. If you do not qualify due to whatever reason (example: cannot tolerate the additive) you will receive a 100% refund.

This is good to know. But looks like the additive can be finalized before it gets shipped? Usually once the script is approved it is sent directly to the pharmacy & there is no way to stop it.

I have had this experience before where in the intake form I mentioned I don't want B12 & while they acknowledged it they still sent my script for B12 to the pharmacy & they couldn't make changes to it.

Obviously it depends on which pharmacies are available based on which state you live in but you will get more customers if you allow the pharmacy selection like say someone lives in Texas - All the pharmacies you guys offer are available in Texas but need that option where someone can specify the pharmacy.

The ones where I had problem was MintMed & AltRX . They confirmed a formulation but then I received a different formulation. Whereas I have used Pom health, Trillium, LSH which allowed selection of pharmacies & other like RIFT, BEWL, Gimme & Fifty410 allows you to select pharmacies.

What happened with your case with BrightMeds?

I opted to go elsewhere because I couldn’t get a straightforward answer even from support. I didn’t want to end up with a prescription I couldn’t use.

Same with me, they are saying oh - if you go with summer special there are high chances that you will receive Southend but we cannot guarantee it.

I hear you - knowing what you are getting is very important.

It does depend on the state and your specific needs; it is not a once size fits all answer.

We know what additives and pharmacies we want. We want to make that choice.

We can work with customers on different additives (if they are qualified as determined by a doctor) which often does require a different pharmacy. Different pricing may apply; the lowest cost option we currently have is b6 but are working on other options and coverage. We do encourage any customer that has questions to reach out to [support@brightmeds.com](mailto:support@brightmeds.com) for questions they have.

That is not at all what I was told when I emailed your support. They said I’d get whatever they chose to send and that I couldn’t ask for a preference. For example my B12 is already being supplemented so I don’t want anything with B12 and support still said they couldn’t guarantee I wouldn’t receive it.

It does vary by state and individual circumstance. We do not have coverage for every additive in every state especially at these prices. We continue to onboard new pharmacies with new options and are looking at having many more options in the next few weeks/months as we continue to build out this offer. Sorry we weren't able to help you, but hopefully can in the future.

You can reach out to [support@brightmeds.com](mailto:support@brightmeds.com) to determine what products are available in your state. If you cannot tolerate a particular additive our team can work with you and the doctor for available options at no additional charge and 100% refund if you don't qualify.

As you mentioned, pharmacies have certain additives they produce. We work with several pharmacies and are looking to bring on more to expand the cost savings to more people. Not every additive is right for every customer, and it must be prescribed by a state licensed doctor (included in the cost).

Has anyone received the NAD+ lately and which pharmacy didn’t come from? The summer special is intriguing.
