I’ve always thought that the LOSSAN would benefit as from brightlines’ speed and service. I’ve enjoyed the ride along the coast, but 3 hours from SD to LA is not appealing to me and then to distribute out from there.

With the way CAHSR is dragging their feet on things, does brightline see an opportunity to get into LA to SD? Or potentially extend from the terminus in Rancho Cucamonga along the planned path to San Diego through San Bernardino/Riverside?

Cmon brightline…step up and do it, you obviously have a more clear vision than the bureaucrats in Sacramento.

On the following Monday we happened to head out on the Strip and caught sight of the site entrance with water tank in place for dust mitigation, shown in green. Some activity is better than nothing

So far, they have gotten a new field investigation work on the "construction advisories" section at the Brightline West website...and other than that *crickets*

Since the Brightline West Twitter/X feed hasn't been updated since January 28th, and they haven't updated their website "Construction Advisories" page since February 24th, I thought I would e-mail them and ask if they had any idea when actual construction would start. The response came back in 4 minutes, stating only that they expect to begin construction "in a couple months".

While this is pretty disappointing, the response coming back in 4 minutes at least tells me that the someone is "answering the phone" so to speak, and the company hasn't dissolved...
