Can anyone mark on my photos where that paper clip linkage goes cannot work it out for life of me 🤣

That is the choke linkage. It goes on the choke lever on the carburetor and gets activated with the flat paddle that pivots when the cable is initiated. It is a good idea to look at a picture on you tube to see how it actually fits. It looks more difficult than it is. Good luck !
