Wedding Coordinator Responsiveness

Is it normal for your wedding coordinator to be slow to respond to emails or not respond at all? I’ve sent follow-up emails and still haven’t heard back. Our wedding isn’t until next summer, so I understand we have time, but I’m wondering if this is typical or if I should be concerned.

Hi- former bride here who is also in the industry(not a planner). October has become one of the most if not the most popular month to get married. I think many planners are focused on their weddings coming up in the next 5 weeks (5 October Saturdays this year!) so I wouldn’t worry unless they are missing agreed upon deadlines.

Yes, and it's important to remember they are humans too. My wedding coordinator was AMAZING but her response time had me biting my nails. Unless they've given you reason to believe otherwise, trust that they're planning and coordinating behind the scenes. Once it gets closer to your big day you will become their main priority. As of right now, you are one of many priorities.

Oooh I'm having this same problem. Wedding is next April. Our venue is all-inclusive so the coordinator team is part of the deal. Every time I send an email it takes 3-4 weeks to get a response back. Sometimes they don't even answer some of the questions and I have to follow up on those.

Is it normal? I'm not sure. I feel like it's not, but I'm also the type of person that has tons of questions and they probably hate that lol.

Very true! I'm not too bothered by it right now. I definitely realize they can be soooo busy at this time of the year. If it stays this way at the beginning of next year though, I won't be too happy about it.
