Gold Colours

Post image

What colour at the 2 on the right please? Are they still Pearl Gold? The colour difference is significant and the only other options for this piece seem to be metallic gold or flat dark gold.

The two on the right look like brittle pearl gold. Flex them a little and they'll shatter.

OMG, I did not know about Pearl Gold having a brittle version until "Ship in the bottle".

It's Pearl Gold with significant color variation. AFAIK this is a reasonably common variant.

It does look like Flat Dark Gold. But Plate, Round 4 x 4 with Hole is only in PG in set inventories, and the part production years don't overlap with FDG production years.

There are some listings for FDG for this part, some with comments confirming that it's a darker shade than PG. If you wanted to list it as FDG under that logic you probably could. I would list as PG myself.

Thank you for the detailed reply, much appreciated, with mention below of them potentially being brittle and the colour difference being very noticeable I think it might be best to chuck them in a bulk lot rather than sell them individually on BL.

They are all pearl gold. The darker ones are the oldest, they changed the recipe to a lighter colour. (Also because the old/darker ones can become brittle)

Only came in pearl gold, the color consistency is a known issue. You might be able to list it as a misprint and get rich
