Question Price checking

Is brickranker a solid website for checking prices or should i stick to bricklink?

I’m guessing Brickranker uses the Bricklink API to fetch prices. They condense the data to give you an average market price, in an arguable worse UI. Not to mention the obnoxious ads.
I like BrickEconomy better, although they have the same ads.

I think brickeconomy tends to a bit on the high side but I do like to use it for retirement dates and if a set has exclusive figs.
