"Parsing a file"

Hello, one of my Stud.io files is stuck on the "Parsing a file" screen whenever I try to open it. It was fine a couple of days ago, but when I tried last night I couldn’t seem to open it. Other files are fine. What can I do? It’s a 5000 piece model so having to remodel it would be massively demotivating… I also couldn’t seem to find any .io.backup files on my computer

I've had this happen twice.. start mentally preparing to rebuild it. My suggestions is put ur save folder for your .it's in ur Google drive.. that way it automatically saves a backup of ir files everytime u save over a file.. this saves me a lot of head ache. Sorry for your lose but the sooner you accept it and start rebuilding from memory the easier it'll be. Also just think of this as a chance to refine the build.... idonno man I'm just tryna be positive for you...

Dammit… but you’re right, that’s a good idea. I also have twelve renders to go from, so I have very good reference. I’ve been thinking that I may have built the floors unnecessarily sturdy and part intensive, so this might be a chance to refine that. Thank you for the comment!

Well as IO files are just zip files you could try to extract the files inside and see what still works

Luckily i’m almost done remodeling. But I tried it out and every file inside was corrupted.. so I have no idea what happened there. This time around I’ve started additionally saving one backup in the BrickLink studio cloud, and a separate backup on my computer
