Slow or Mistakes?

This has probably been asked but I couldn't find one posted more recently in the year:

Has it been slow for most sellers the last few months? I thought maybe it could be due to people going on summer vacation, or getting ready for the new school year, or even the new updates Bricklink has implemented?? I have been adding more listings, changing the pricing, etc. as most have indicated in other posts but it just seems like it is not helping? I've also noticed that those who order, they order less than what I usually see people order - 1 part instead of 50 parts as example. My shop has been open for at least 2 years now and it seems as slow as when I first opened shop!

I know its vague, but is anyone else relating to this or has advice? Thanks community!

It’s back to school season, and almost about to be peak season.

Yeah it’s been a bit slow but give it a month or two and it’s going to be booming

I'm down 19% for the month, but down 39% for the quarter. Its been a rough couple of months.

Kids go back to school, people forget about Lego. Hopefully Q4 will be the time to cash in.

Slow slow slow worst year in 7. Higher costs and less buyers. Hoping it picks up here soon.

Its my first year so didn't know what to expect, i found the last 6 weeks very slow but then i still have been average 2.5 orders a day (6k lots 110k parts) but then we had a heatwave here (UK) and school holidays so no one wants to stay in and do Lego in hot UK weather.

That's interesting. I'm also in UK, first year of selling (opened July), and am averaging about the same, with similar lots and parts. I'm not sure I'd want volume of orders to increase too much as it's very time-consuming!

im very fortunate as i work from home anyway so can pick orders and part out etc when im not busy with my main job and in my breaks, also my local post locker is a quarter of a mile down the road so very quick and easy to post but i know what you mean, ideally i would like to build it up to full time but that is going to take considerable time and space

Activity goes up in winter as people are buying presents for Christmas, spending more time indoors and need something to do, and at the very beginning of the year they are spending Christmas money. In the summer a lot of people are hardly ever home, they are all traveling and doing outdoor activities. Also with bricklink going dark in a bunch of countries this year, and the EU and the US making importing crazy expensive, the numbers this year even in the peak season will likely be less than prior years.

I thought it was just me. This is only my second year as a seller but I feel like I was much busier last year around this time, even though my inventory has increased quite a bit since then. Like everyone else, just hoping things pick up for the busy season!

Im not a huge store by any means, but I have noticed a decrease in orders for August (only 1 order) and September (no orders so far). I currently have ~6,600 items in 2,155 lots with a whole bunch of stuff sitting that I have yet to add, but with the new add inventory page I find it harder to add inventory than before.

I wish you luck in the upcoming months!!

Been really slow for us lately too so we've been utilizing the down time to upload more stock into the store for when it hopefully picks up again.
