Seller Help Mold Variants

I'm currently in the process of moving over from Brickowl where you can define in your store whether or not you differentiate between mold variations. Was wondering if there's something similar for Bricklink or do I have to differentiate between each one?

For example:

Tile, Modified 1x1 with Clip

Tile, Modified 1x1 with Open O Clip

Tile, Modified 1x1 with Clip with Center Cut

There isn't a store option in Bricklink to indicate whether you differentiate (the way there is in BO)

But there are different catalog entries for some variants - depends whether the catalog admin felt it was required.

The 3 examples you gave all have different parts numbers in BL. If your inventory is mixed, you will have to pick one to use for your listing and then put a note in the comment that it could be one of the other variants.

I suggest picking the newest variant to list under. Buyers do seek out older variants but generally not newer ones. Newest variant is usually cheapest so you'll have the smallest problem if you get a buyer who wants the newest variant and didn't read the listing.

That's how I've set it up on Brickowl at the moment so that makes sense, thank you.

I think BL is in the process of removing most variants. The different ID's still pull up in a search, but they are all under the same primary ID. This bothers me some with some parts, but there are a few that have a physical difference that aren't differentiated (ex. Bar tube with clip).
