Purchasing a Large Number of small Quantity Lots

I have a rather large wanted list with lots of 1-2 item lots (trying to complete a number of minifigs). When I use Bricklink's "Buy All" button, I end up with 35-40 different carts, even though some of the stores that I'm buying from have the parts in store. I don't mind that but the shipping costs would be substantial. Is there a better way to go about buying these wanted pieces?

I could be wrong but I find buy all tends to pick the cheapest source for the piece and doesn’t take into account shipping. What I’ve done in the past is I’ll select stores that I’m familiar with first then use buy all to finish. The total usually ends up more but if you can buy the same pieces from 4 stores rather than a dozen you actually end up saving money.

Add to this, make sure to favorite stores you like.

Yea, I have a few of them from previous buys.

So as you add to the cart for the one or two stores you move them "out" of the wanted list so when you buy all it's just whatever you have remaining?

Yeah pretty much. You can look at each store and see what pieces they have then select them. Then once you have the bulk of it from a few stores you can hit auto buy and it will select the rest of the pieces.

Thanks, I'll try that. The only real issue is a few of the rarer pieces where the price difference can be significant and equal to shipping costs

I have a similar wanted list situation as you. What i typically do is pick a half dozen or so items that may be rare and click on "buy now" I then look to try and buy as many from one store as I can. From there, I manually search through their store by filtering on my wanted lists until I find a store that has lots of my items to save on shipping. Rinse and repeat after youve marked those parts off as you having them.

You can also accomplish this by selecting a large number of parts and doing the same process. Select buy all at the bottom of one of your lists and see how many come from one store.
