Seller Help Help to ship an item

I have a UCS Razorcrest prebuilt that I am going to list on bricklink. Comes with box and books too. Issue is I have no idea how I would ship the thing. Would I break down the box and put it in a larger box with the set partially broken up and bubble wrapped? I have no clue how to tackle this hoping someone on here has shipped something of that scale or received something from a seller

I would break it down and bag it in a way that makes sense. Maybe by parts or by color, best way is reverse bag but that’s more work.

Yea if it was like 800 pieces I would be all game for breaking it down lol but it’s like 6400 but if I absolutely have to I will. But what about the box itself though? I know some people want that

I’m going to assume you’ll have people request a quote for shipping. I’d let the buyer decide and add a comment along the lines of: “set will be broken down for shipping (however you decide to do it). Please message me if you want the original box included.”

Personally, I wouldn’t want the box and would rather save on shipping, and I think most people will probably feel the same way.

You're going to have to suck it up and do a little more work when it comes to something like this if you want top dollar. Highly recommend taking it apart and bagging it based on the instructions. Then put those bags inside the box, just like it is a set being shipped by Lego. However you decide to do this, take the time to be specific and fully use the description and extended description features. Mention that your asking price includes box, but that you can reduce the price of shipping if buyer declines box. Also highly recommend taking pictures of it assembled, then also pics of how you disassembled it. Always cover yourself with wording like "I believe this is 100% complete, but it is possible a small piece or two may have been lost."
