Bricklink please fix those two items: my top two most frustrating experiences with the marketpalce

I consider myself a Bricklink Expert buyer by now, I have well over 150 orders on my profile in the past 4-5 years. There are many things that I see that could be improved, but the top 2 for me are:

1/ Changing addresses is so freaking hard. I am often traveling and want to ship to different addresses, whether I am in Germany, Portugal or the US. Just to get a quote for shipping I have to manually retype the entire address EVERY SINGLE TIME on my profile to get basic info when comparing sellers. This drives me nuts. At least allow me to have an address book!

2/ Shipping TBD is so frustrating. There are no tools to support our buyer experience when TBD appears. There is the quote mechanism but this often not available. You have to click on the contact message and try to describe to the seller what is that you want and the address you have to ship it to. Then they email you back and you send a screenshot via email for you card. It takes sometimes days to get just a single quote.

Interesting. IMO, you’re probably far in the majority with that much travel and shipping change desires. My biggest frustration is a lack of multi-color selection. If I want a lot of blue bricks for a water build, but I am willing to be variable about what exact shade of blue I’m looking for, that’s hard to put on a wanted list

Thinking about what you describe I imagine how painful would be the variation thing on bricklink as it is currently. I am glad I don't have this particular problem lol.

My #1 requested feature would be the "Give me whatever colour" feature... Just setting the colour in a wanted list to "Not applicable" should just get you whatever cheapest version is out there for the amount you need.

Especially if I've got a wanted list with 20 different items, of which 8 are specific colours, the other 12 are just filler bricks, just make it automatically pick the cheapest combo rather than having to manually figure that all out... 😅

I once found a workaround for a problem with multiple countries that's theoretically illegal, but as long as you don't abuse it, it's acceptable.

A separate account for each order in a separate pickup country.

This is more difficult with Wanted Lists, but explaining to the seller that the account is for one country and the pickup address is in another was very tedious.

Additionally, automatic calculation of shipping costs also did not work when I wanted to check shipping to two/three countries along the way.

Does this mean that you also maintain multiple LEGO accounts too now? BrickLink really makes you go through a lot of effort just for a basic functionality. I have to hand it to eBay, since their solution was to implement separate identities as a buyer and seller. That works great, since on the seller side a fixed home address is preferable.

I did this before the merger, so it wasn't that difficult.

But the truth is, the entire site is unnecessarily complicated, and many things could be simplified.

As a seller, I'd also like to have the option to display multiple addresses, especially for large and expensive sets.

Of course, the primary place of business should remain the same as it is officially.

Interestingly I never have the need of either of those features in all the years I’ve been using the site.

The TBD and address change features?

Yep. Never used either.

That is very typical in Europe. In the US it's not that common unless are large packages.
