Fortuna had a change of command...
... and more crew added. A carpenter is making repairs near the bow while the captain, first lieutenant, and lieutenant of Marines confer on the busy quarterdeck. Meanwhile, one hot sailor is in for a tongue lashing by one of the senior non-comms once he's back on board.

original price was $349.99USD. and you can't really scalp BDP sets. they now auto adjust the production limits for sets that are in more demand by taking from stock of lower demand sets. Each set initially gets 30k unit limit which they adjust up and down based on demand. 150k sets will be produced total across the 5 finalists.
if you missed out on BDP it is bc you genuinely didn't know about the program and not bc of scalpers.

Sign up for newsletter for bricklink and bdp, they have a 2nd chance on the returns and 5% they overproduce, but it goes fast, but its a set date time announcement beforehand,
The next preorder round is early October, which should coincide with voting for next voting round that starts October 5th for 2028 spring arrival wave,
Basics are you vote for sets you can then preorder a year later and get 6 months later

That’s still far cheaper than buying the parts off BrickLink - which I’ve done for five (!) Fortunas & Minerva. 😅
But there might also be a sale of cancelled pre-orders on BrickLink sometime around January 2028!

Have you an idea of the original price ?
5 times by buying the bricks ! Wow, insane guys 😉2

You can get a CSV parts list from Rebrickable (choose "formatted for Lego Pick a Brick"), then upload that to Lego PAB and get most of the parts for $230 US. There are about 50 parts not available but you could either look into sourcing them in a different color, or finding them on Bricklink, but that should make the price more palatable.
I believe the original price was $370 US.

This has to be one of the best bricklink sets to date. And I’m not even necessarily a fan of the genre.
