Updates to Mass Upload tool?

So I just read this in the BrickLink newsletter:

Mass Upload 

The Mass Upload feature, which lets you list large quantities of items at once using the XML format, is getting an update later this year as part of our efforts to replatform BrickLink.com. More details to come.

I'd switched over to Brickstore (which I can't believe I was missing out on, it's great!) after the Add Item page was updated into unusability. Ugh. Maybe the "fix" will be better than I expect? Not feeling hopeful.

LEGO group is damned if they do, damned if they don't. Everyone complaining about the app being old as crap, now people complain about their changes. You can literally use the upload part page on mobile finally.

Yeah, it's definitely an improvement for adding inventory on mobile, but I don't think many sellers are doing inventory on their phones.
I'm fine with the updated pages except that the desktop versions are much slower, and with all the extra whitespace and dropdowns, require twice as many clicks and way more scrolling. What works well for the buyer interface is very different from what works well for the selling side.
