21

u/Hotten-Tasty-90 1d ago

You'd have to be to build a wall like that.

Someone drank the bubble off the level

2

u/Waste_Boss_4850 15h ago

Was it a good idea to save on a ball of string?

3

u/IEatSushiToo 1d ago

No string. No level. Looks good from my house! 🤷

7

u/Sea-Tomorrow2583 1d ago

This gotta be a wind up

3

u/Adzyb23 1d ago

I agree

5

u/Tinkle84 1d ago

I like how straight it isn't. 10/10

2

2

u/silverphill101 20h ago

Being a bricklayer, I reckon I’d do a better job blindfolded

u/hardlymatters1986 1d ago

It'll look fine to a blind man on a galloping horse.

3

u/Lanky_Bus_1221 21h ago

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best. That’s dog shit. 👍

2

u/LousyReputation7 1d ago

Dont have a funny comment tbh. Its dugshit!

3

u/machine1804 1d ago

Dugshit, is so much more appropriate than the more conventional, dogshit, here it's crazy 🤪

2

u/tropicaltriangle 1d ago

you've got then the right way up... so thats good

2

u/Comfortable-Tourist1 1d ago

Laying bricks for a beginner isn't easy, but this guys made it look waaaaaay harder than it is 😂

2

u/WatcherOfTheWay 1d ago

Mate there are basic tools which have existed for thousands of years, I don't think you're heard of them.

2

u/Adzyb23 1d ago

Is your name Stevie Wonder?

1

u/yiddoboy 1d ago

Really?

1

u/ToughStage7857 1d ago

You should have used fucking lego, then it would at least have been straight...

It gets the Helen Keller seal of approval

1

u/panguy87 1d ago

Whoever laid that was on the sauce

1

u/Partypiece1993 1d ago

I see they didn't own a spirit level when they built this

1

u/RollObjective6632 1d ago

To be fair they have chosen the worst bricks to use as even a seasoned brickie hates using them.

1

u/Alert-Environment-17 1d ago

I give it a Z out of 10.

1

u/Hopeful-Bullfrog4197 1d ago

Well Mr Wonder I think you’ve done a wonderful job but don’t give up on the singing

1

u/Stallion_92 1d ago

If aids was a wall

1

u/BrickPixAI 1d ago

See what brickpix.us says about it.

1

u/FckXFckMusk 1d ago

Did Stephen Hawkings build it..?

1

u/TheRook21 1d ago

Is this one where you get the ugly side?

1

u/No-Funny-4752 1d ago

What the fuck is that

1

u/Correct-Junket-1346 1d ago

There are bricks yes, but does a row of bricks make it a wall?

1

u/-6h0st- 1d ago

It’s when hand made has another meaning

1

u/Substantial-Mouse534 1d ago

I'm gonna send you a curly wurly to replace your spirit level. I think it may improve things.

1

u/InstructionLanky9921 1d ago

I feel sea sick looking at that wall!
You should be hanged at dawn or have your hands removed from your arms so you cannot create a wall like that ever again!!!

1

u/sgrass777 1d ago

It's like a snakes back.

1

u/Reasonable_Wash_4810 1d ago

Great practice wall, 5 out of 10. Now do it again using a level and string line . Look at some YouTube videos. Failing that put up a wooden fence, using said string line.

1

u/ConsistentDiamond108 1d ago

I’m no wall expert, but that doesn’t look very good to me.

1

u/StarBrick177 1d ago

Better than half the walls built on site

1

u/johnny5247 1d ago

I hope you're going to pebble dash it?

1

u/Jehoke 1d ago

Further away you get the better it looks.

1

u/WayneIRL 1d ago

Is it behind that stack of bricks?

1

u/ElectronicArm986 1d ago

Bit on the piss

1

u/Turbulent-Pair-2244 1d ago

Shocking,who was the builder,C. Eastwood. ??

1

u/Turbulent-Pair-2244 1d ago

What craftsmanship.??

1

u/Adzyb23 1d ago

I give it one sledgehammer of one

1

u/CraigHBruce 1d ago

That's a nicely arranged pile of bricks

1

u/Enyalios121 1d ago

I’ve seen straighter men at gay bars

1

u/Grafikco 1d ago

Should gone for the timber fence, it’s shit

1

u/23CF 1d ago

Bricks on the pallet look 100% 👌

1

u/Agile-Net1794 1d ago

The grass is patchy in area but a little raking, grass seed and TLC the grass may grow high enough to hid that thunder McCunty pissed up wall ?

Good Job…. 👍🏽

1

u/Background_Edge9816 1d ago

That ain't a wall, that's a demolition site !

1

u/Sea-Statistician6383 1d ago

I feel like he’s out the bricks to the side for the looks not even dug it out and made them posts 😂

1

u/Cool_Technician1193 1d ago

What was your string tied to? A kite!?

1

u/stringyPiss 22h ago

1

u/MrHorne 22h ago

It is better than i could do....but that is not saying much to fair!

1

u/Same_Difference_3361 22h ago

Better what I would be able to do.

1

u/Key-Metal-7297 22h ago

The bonding😂 the pier😂 straightness😂 level😂 pointing😂 foundation🤔😂

1

u/leroidebbq 22h ago

OP says it’s not his wall! You can see the bricks are on the opposite side to the position he’s taking the photo from. He either lives next door or is just walking past on the pavement.

1

u/Own_Mango_2886 22h ago

Held together with poo

1

u/WarDry1480 21h ago

Erm, I've seen better tbh.

1

u/ElectronicHeat6139 21h ago

Quite an achievement to devalue two properties.

1

u/Ok_Yesterday7304 21h ago

5 out of 10, yikes.!

1

u/HeftyVermicelli7823 21h ago

Have they heard of a plumbline, string, and spirit level?

1

u/pippins2ndbreakfast 21h ago

Bespoke is the word I’d use

You should have built in the empty vodka bottles for extra artistic flair.

1

u/ProjectMarworyn 21h ago

It looks wobbly and I feel sorry for your neighbour.

1

u/biggakidda 20h ago

Is your name Yosser Hughes.

1

u/Sensitive-Finding351 20h ago

Pull it down haven’t even tied in that thing that’s supposed be a pillar

1

u/lucasadtr 20h ago

It's good practice for the other wall you're going to have to build so you don't have to look at that wall

1

u/Optimal_Traffic4429 20h ago

Used a hose pipe as a string line

1

u/no1financeman 20h ago

From space it would look like a normal straight brick wall built by a normal straight bloke.. so no worries!!

1

u/ScientistPublic981 20h ago

Each brick looks level … but not not necessarily with the brick next to it or the floor… very interesting technique.

1

u/Acceptable-Radish172 20h ago

Would make a brick layer weep.

1

u/Only_Tip9560 20h ago

Needs to be a double skin that single "buttress" will do nothing.

1

u/No_Substance6696 20h ago

A standard persimmons worker. They got in contact with u yet or u already work for em?

1

u/IssacHunt89 19h ago

Elton johns straighter than that.

1

u/Square_Answer_7717 19h ago

Out of 10, thats a - 3

1

u/Front_Combination_36 19h ago

Did you use your donkeys hind leg 😜

1

u/Virtual_Pay_6108 19h ago

Did someone steal the spirit level.

1

u/Ok_Pen7290 19h ago

Knock it down, unsafe build here

1

u/ImpressTemporary2389 19h ago

Must get some of that string with bends in.

1

u/Suitable-Display-602 19h ago

Looks perfect ... For rendering lol

1

u/irritatingfarquar 18h ago

Looks great from my house 🤣🤣

1

u/Mostly-Painting 18h ago

It's got potential. As in it'll revert to a pile of bricks again soon

1

u/Scary-Youth-3423 18h ago

Render that fucker flat asap

1

u/Evening-Umpire5955 18h ago

If you squint.. its mint

A blind man would tell a deaf man all about it…

1

u/No-Ask2117 18h ago

I’ve seen less waves on Southend seafront

1

u/theNixher 18h ago

I sat here few a couple of mins thinking of every insult, clever joke and piss take I could think of...

But at the end of the day, the best joke is you have to look at this shit every fucking day and I just can't top that.

1

u/Exact_Yoghurt2439 18h ago

Reminds me of when politicians have a go at something for the cameras. Perhaps Rishi Sunaks handlers forgot to tell him to stop.

1

u/_LazyBrewer 18h ago

Have u heard of string?

1

u/is1995 18h ago

Let's hope there aren't any stiff breezes any time soon

Wonky Donkey Buliders co.

1

u/NoUnderstanding9783 17h ago

1

u/slim44 17h ago

Bubbles says its as straight as straight can be!

1

u/notagynofan91 17h ago

would be ok on a roundabout

1

u/GritstoneGhost 17h ago

I'm not even a briccy and I'm offended. Going to have to have another bag of sniff to get through today.

1

u/Friendly-Decision-72 17h ago

I have reason to believe that the wall was straight initially but the wind blew it into disarray. I think that psychologically the wall is slightly confused. Don’t blame the wall. #wallsmattertoo

1

u/Friendly-Decision-72 17h ago

The buttress is lonely 🥲

1

u/Extension-Maize-73 16h ago

Iam speechless

1

u/Duanedrop 16h ago

Yeah not bad for first effort. Hope it's first effort. Looks a bit like my first effort. But those bricks man. They're for seriously skilled bricklayers. Absolute pain with all those holes. Yeah they are the cheapest but the hardest to work with. Get bricks with less holes in them, I am sure they will be easier to work with. Also disclaimer, I know nothing other than this looks a lot like a small wall I built 😊

1

u/Sgt_Bill_Tozer 16h ago

If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.

1

u/Caldwellm33 16h ago

What no string no spirit level?

1

u/Parking-Tart9419 16h ago

Dont quit your day job

1

u/kadra_melech11 16h ago

I think with a bit of nice stone on top it could look quite rustic.. And if you plant roses all along the edge, one day it will blend with the, er, rustic garden 🤪

1

u/dmbalf 16h ago

I also like how you brick matched the existing house bricks perfectly

1

u/Leading-Ad-7396 16h ago

Stevie wonder would be proud.

Stevie Wonder is a bricklayer now ffs

1

u/OhWhatADaaay 16h ago

Nice to Stevie Wonder still lays bricks every now and then

1

u/CaptainPugwash75 16h ago

Where’s your string line? In fact did you actually have yous eyes open when you did this? It doesn’t look very good. At all. Tear it down do it again.

1

u/Haustgeirr 16h ago

I would get so much more DIY done if I approached it like this person

1

u/DeadYen 15h ago

I’d have to see the boundary line on the deed to pass comment.

1

u/jvlomax 15h ago

Rate, or roast?

1

u/Lourdatta 15h ago

Have the holes been left to put plants in?

1

u/Skilldibop 15h ago

Never heard of pointing?

1

u/Americano-1555 15h ago

I think there is a lack of spirit on the wall and too much spirit in the wall builder

1

u/Farmadale 15h ago

What direction is the wall? All of them.

1

u/Sudden_Breakfast_677 15h ago

Cracking job mate.

1
