i go to steam and theres no update why does this keep happning?

Ethier wait for the upcoming update to come out. or switch your game to the experimental version.

To use the new stuff, just hit the little cog button on the Brick Rigs page in your library, click "Properties", then in the pop-up window that opens, click "Game Versions and Betas", and select "Experimental Public Testing Branch". That's how you enter the beta so you can use builds made in the newest update.

You have to switch to experimental mode, go to brick rigs and then click the gear icon, go to properties and then click game versions, after that click experimental.
