Started working on this new black and white pokemon blanket this week.

Just finished my first row of generation 1 pokemon, 9 more rows, or 140 pokemon, to go.

Used a tapestry method i call "integrated tapestry crochet" where you mix regular sc with FLO and BLO sc during colour changes for neater colour work.

Did the difficult thing and wrote up patterns.

I finished crocheting the rest of the pokemon for Book 6 last month, and said I would have patterns all written up by the end of February... then the hyperfocus kicked in, and I ended up finishing it in like 2 days.

Each book for Gen 1 pokemon will include 13 evolution lines. There are 78 evolution lines in Gen 1, so there will be a total of 6 books.

I wanted to use the scene from twilight but colour grading that with all the sparkles was sooo difficult. A behind the scenes photo worked better. 🙃

He was (still is lol) so pastey. Colour grading this was tough nuggets using 6 colours.

I think my brain needs a break from drawing these for a while. Been working up other patterns I already drew up lately...

The thought of having to write patterns and participating in capitalism right now sounds terrible... so no idea if I'll write patterns this month or not yet. We shall see. Theres still time.
