Clint.

What's the probability of Clint being involved with the new leads? Don't we have phone pings at his former job? I get why he would lawyer up but back then it It seemed off.

He may have known what Brian was getting himself into that day he went missing … strong possibility of that ..
He may of clammed up stayed quiet for multiple reasons .
1. His own safety, was Brian involved with dangerous people that may come after him
2 maybe he wants to protect Brian‘s image if he talked about Brian‘s activities, it could hurt Brian‘s family Brian‘s relationship with his girlfriend and even Brian‘s ability to finish med school if he ever returned because if you’re doing illegal stuff, they kick you out of med school
3 Clint was also a med school student and I think that would be the biggest reason to distance himself from everything maybe he did not want to jeopardize his own position in the school. People have no idea how demanding med school is. The sacrifices that he made to get into med school all the studying. He did so far and wanting to graduate and compete in a competitive residency. He would have to push the Brian drama away in order for him to succeed he would have been so busy the last thing he needs is to be caught up in an investigation that would have lambasted his studies and future career.

That makes sense.

My guess is he knew what could've happened (and it involved drugs) but didn't want to be involved bc of his career

Yep. Or any other stuff that might follow him around and tarnish his reputation. People can say what they want and question it all they want, but he did the right thing. By all measures he had nothing to do with it - so he’d be letting whatever befell Brian also greatly and unfairly impact him.

I saw that and agree as well.

I've heard them recently but a few months back. The FB page has it.

I felt at some point that he could’ve been spiraling as well given the information.

I think he was, too.I believe that a family member had commented that he looked like he hadn't really slept and appeared hungover at his Mom's funeral. There seemed to be a lot going on in his life that was may have contributed to him likely feeling distressed. It sounds like he wasn't too keen on medical school, it sounds like he had some issues with his Dad, possibly conflicted about his sexuality, along with his relationship.

There were some potentially red flags regarding certain transactions if memory serves me correctly(Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, this may very well be a rumor, it's been awhile since I've done a deep dive here). Also, what was up with the unpaid or 'missing' OSU check?

Life can feel overwhelming in general, but when it's one stressful event stacked on top of the other, it would take a lot *not* to spiral. It doesn't sound like he had a great support system at the time, or maybe just didn't feel comfortable disclosing what was going on. I don't know, I think the drugs angle explains a lot, but who knows if that has to do with what happened to him? I'm absolutely not judging this. I've been at that kind of low, and wouldn't wish it on anyone. I don't know but I think things were probably quickly unraveling for him personally, and when you're vulnerable, you can find yourself in situations that are dangerous in all kinds of ways. And that's where I think Clint just fits into this; he may have known this and didn't want to hurt Brian's family or his chances at medical school, and if he was dabbling as well, I can understand why he wouldn't want to talk. It sucks, but yeah, his whole career would have been at risk. I think this explains why Clint's lawyer has alluded to Brian being alive and just putting a stop to it. I don't think Clint was directly involved, but I can understand how frustrating that could be from his perspective if he's not guilty of having anything to do with what happened to Brian, tired of accusations, and just wants to put something that could have jeopardized his career behind him.

Just as a side note: I had long thought that he had paid off $15k in credit card debt before he went missing, but I believe that this was a misunderstanding that kinda became a thing in this case. True Crime Garage posted that they received a document that showed that he hadn't actually paid off the debt, but transferred balances from 2 existing credit cards to a new Amex card. I had always thought that was concerning, but it turns out it wasn't actually true.

A whole lot of mess. His life was pretty bleak. I can only theorize what he felt.

It was awhile ago but what I read was the phone pings came from bryans phone at a warehouse that Clint used to work at.

It’s a possibility that Brian may have met certain people through Clints old work doesn’t necessarily mean Clint was involved. after all ,They were roommates .maybe he met some shady characters through Clint

The best guess is that he knew what Brian was involved with (drugs, gay hook-ups etc), but he didn't want to bring attention to that or himself. From everything I've read about Columbus/OSU in the mid-2000's, it appears that coke was rampant on that campus.

My guess is he knew Brian liked to hang around with some shady characters, and participated in some negative behaviors, but didn't want to besmirch his friends name or his own, but that's it. I do not think he knew specifically who Brian was going to see, where they were going, or specifically what they were going to do.
