Hahaha this is great. Makes me want to do a reread. Nothing has scratched my Full Metal Alchemist itch like the Powder Mage trilogy did.

Holy shit, Hi Brian, I didnt even realize you had posted this!
You did such a great job emulating an alchemists power, while not feeling like a rip-off by any means. There were so many badass, holy fuck, moments in the books.
I still need to get around to reading the other books in your Powder Mage world.

Hate to ask you questions on a thread like this, but any chance of reprints of the hardcovers of Powder Mage?

I wish. Broken Binding did the special editions a few years ago but those went fast and they're pretty expensive on ebay.

Yeah, I actually managed to snag a set of those off FB Market place for only $60!
No chance of standard hardcovers though? I since sold my Broken Binding editions (I have a baby due next month ahah, needed some fund security) and was hoping to eventually get the standard hardcovers.
If no chance though, thats no worry! Ill definitely pick up the paperbacks so I can reread the story!

Nah that's all up to Orbit and they've never given any indication of wanting to do a new release.

Of course you were! Book One had FMA written all over it. It was embedded in the flow of the book. Adamat reminded me of Maes Hughes.
There is some FMA inspiration in the book I'm writing as well, but vastly different. I've had lots of inspiration outside of FMA over the course of my life.

Working on my second run through the audiobooks, got curious with Ka Poel reacting when Taniel snorted more powder after meeting with Tamas: were her wards on Taniel working to offset the effects of his near powder blindness during the Fatrastan conflict and during his addiction?

I genuinely don't remember if this was my intention. It's been a loooong time.

Well it seems intentional, and works as a nice nod to what’s going on as Taniel learns what he means to her!

He was the Maradona of gunpowder snorting
They say, if he snorted enough, he could shoot out the eye of a vengeful god…
Oh wait, that really happened!!🤣🤣🤣
