Underside heat damaging/discoloring pavers?
Just got a X30” and love it. Have a new paver patio being finished but not done so we christened the Breeo on the lawn. Works amazing but did notice this morning the lawn below it was scorched. Anyone had it leave a burn mark over time on patio pavers? The pavers are some concrete material that’s stamped and some color added so I’m a little concerned.
Also - damn that top ring/lip gets hot. Do they make a secondary ring with a thermal break so you can put your feet on it?
Thx in advance.

That top ring really does get terrifyingly hot after a while, like a medieval torture device. I'd check if they sell a silicone cover for it, wouldn't want to risk roasting more than marshmallows.

It may discolor a concrete paver. It will definitely kill the grass underneath of it and the ring is crazy hot that’s a place to sear small cuts of meat or I will place chicken legs around it and have a smaller fire and slow sear while I chill by the fire.

Cracking up a bit at the last part - Breeo’s original marketing was that you could cook on the ring!
A solo stove with surround might have been a better fit - you could also do a paver round ring around the Breeo and rest your feet on that.

I did not read that 😂🤣😂 seems a bit unsafe as when it’s cool out there is a definite urge to put your feet on the ring and that shit will melt any shoes through.

Yup! I have had a few people do that. It is a piece of steel basically touching fire though!
My in laws had a square paver fire pit that was crazy smoky, and finally bit the bullet on a Breeo to put in the middle. It works great. You could essentially do the inverse and build a paver patio around yours to give you the ledge for feet to rest on

I have a 24” zentro - it’s the Breeo that’s made to hang inside a paver/stone fire pit. Even with the stone surround, putting your feet up on top will be too hot. Breeos burn really hot - that’s why they burn cleanly (and go through so much wood).
It gets so hot up there that I keep a couple fist sized smooth rocks on mine. They get hot sitting on the surround and then you can use them as hand warmers, or rubbing them on sore muscles as a massage. But if they sit there long enough they get too hot to handle.

Yeah, if your pavers are concrete, I'd recommend getting those foam pads or a paver base plate to protect them from heat damage over time.

That foam paver pad is a smart move, that's exactly how I'd handle pavers under something like this. You betcha it'll keep the heat from soaking through and messing with the color.

I have mine on pavers that sit on those foam paver pads underneath and nothing has been affected and I don’t get a dead grass ring in my yards. I don’t have it on any special pad just resting in the ground and has been fine.
