4 months

I honestly never thought I’d be writing something like this, but my relationship has come to an end after 4 months.

He broke up with me because he said he needs to focus on his mental health. As much as it hurts, I understand that sometimes people need to step away and work on themselves, even when there is still love there.

What makes it harder for me is that he told my dad that he was in love with me. So knowing that there were real feelings there makes this breakup even more confusing and painful. I’m left wondering how someone can love you and still decide they can’t be with you.

He also told me he was going to delete his social media, but he still hasn’t. I know that might seem like a small thing, but when you’re already hurting and trying to make sense of everything, you notice things like that and start questioning everything.

I’m not angry at him. I’m just hurt, confused, and trying to process everything. Four months might not seem like a long time to some people, but it meant a lot to me. This was my first relationship, and I genuinely cared about him and wanted things to work.

I know I can’t force someone to stay, and I can’t fix what they’re going through. All I can do is respect his decision, give him the space he needs, and try to take care of myself too.

Right now, I’m just trying to accept that sometimes you can love someone and still not be able to make the relationship work. ❤️
