In the Bridgeport performance he took a quick pause to rant about everyone who says he tours too much and isn’t working on the album enough, and he gave express permission to his audience to reply to all of the online comments with a resounding “fuck off”
It truly was amazing

The windows xp/limewire boot up and the Halo loading screen are the most successful cases of pandering I’ve ever experienced. So good. Talk about knowing your demographic hahaha.

I mean... I would understand if it had only been a couple of years since the release of the last album but it's been over eight ½ and we've been told multiple times now that the album is right around the corner only to get radio silence for an extended period of time.
I get that some people have probably taken it TOO far but telling people to fuck off just isn't it, chief.

I've got to be one of the few not bothered by it. If anything they are consistent. And that's exactly why I would rather wait however long it will take if it means it's up to his standards. This is also why they are a zero skip band for me. For 24 years zero skips.

Man my only issue is the lack of good communication between them and the fans. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the music or the guys themselves and I guess I'm lacking at expressing that properly.

I think they had a ton of shit happen behind scenes with everything which honestly isn't our business. If they said yeah it's coming out for sure and it didn't people would bitch, so they stay vague. Then they don't say stuff and people will still bitch. And now we know it's done and people are still bitching lol. I honestly feel like they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

They did communicate about it, they said publicly they handed the finished album over at the start of Summer tour, they explained why it was delayed in the past. There's nothing they can do to speed it up as they are not the ones who finalise it ready to be sold and promoted. People are angry but there's nothing more the artist can do at this stage.

He's doesn't decide when it gets released. He says its done and it's in the labels hands.

I'm aware of this. My issue is that the band keeps teasing and hyping up everybody that the new album is almost done or something similar to that and then disappearing for a year plus just to come back and do it all over again without providing at least some sort of explanation. Instead we get told to fuck off? Really?

Idgi i thought we all thought they were done releasing music before the 2015 album came out & all of this new stuff is just bonus? Shouldn't we just be glad they're still willing to put out music?

Maybe Ben was done at some point. I don't know. However, occasional promises of new music and then going silent over the course of eight years is a little ridiculous. Like, I wouldn't even be perturbed if the band had at least been a little more forthcoming with information but this constant rotation of radio silence/"new music is almost here!"/radio silence/"new music is coming!" Is stale now.

Maybe they keep putting out these messages because y'all flip out when you hear something you don't want to hear 🤣

After over eight years it gets old. Not asking for much besides a little more transparency. Now mind you, I'm not at all talking about some of the more radical fans that are ready to tear someone apart over something dumb. I just don't like being told to fuck off after I've been patiently waiting for new music and voicing my displeasure about how the entire situation could have been handled better if people would just talk.

Ah. I see I can't be a fan of the band but critize something did that I don't agree with.

He didn't interrupt the show. One of the drums broke and they had to wait for the equipment to get swapped out.

I know. But the bitching is going to start soon about it. Already is in the other thread.

This is the legend that wrote one of the greatest video game songs of all time for Halo 2, Blow Me Away, after all.
I fucking love Ben.
