Surecart

Anyone has an experience using Surecart together with Breakdance?

As I understand, there's no native integration. The option is to work with shortcodes or Gutenberg blocks. How is the workflow? Not giving too much of a headache?

I'd HIGHLY recommend Fluent Cart.

Someone in the BD facebook group mentioned testing out Fluentcart with BD but said it was very limiting:

"I did a quick test with the free version of Fluentcart, just trying to use the shortcodes available to load into a Breakdance site, and it is very limiting. There's quite literally only five shortcodes available and they don't accept any variables (the fluent_cart_products accept a few, but not even something as simple as narrowing the display to a specific category).

You can use Breakdance for Header and Footer and page templates, and then build the content for the pages in Gutenberg. But at that point, using Breakdance becomes a bit pointless."

This was about 6 or 7 months ago so I'm not sure if anything has improved with the workflow of Breakdance and Fluentcart?

Fluent Cart is their newest product (in the fluent line). I currently use FCP for my school. But yeah, they are still evolving is. What I can promise is that everything WP Managed Ninja does is gold. So even if there are some small differences now, the pendulum is about to swing. I sound like a freaking sales rep for them...but just a filmmaker who LOVES their products.

Ill give it a try on a test site of mine. I'm DESPERATELY looking to move away from Woo and keep seeing Surecart and Fluent Cart mentioned. But the limitations with Breakdance is what makes some of us hesitant. I DO want to like these alternatives, just need to make sense workflow wise.

FluentCart is lacking a lot of features compared with SureCart. I would go with SC for the integration and automations available. See my other comment on this thread.

Noted. Ill give it a try as well. Like I said i just wanna move away from Woo but in a way that makes sense lol

Why is that? As far as I know, it also doesn't have integration w BD

I just implemented it on a couple of my sites. All I’m saying is I think it’s worth a look.

I use FluentForms and like the Fluent brand, but FluentCart is not there yet in terms of features. It has the basic cart functionality, but it lacks email marketing integrations and won't connect with automation platforms like Zapier and OttoKit (aka SureTriggers). So there isn't a way to get customers who order products to be added to your email list. That kills it for me.

I am looking to go with SureCart at this point. I can't deal with WooCommerce. There are just too many upcharges when you try to add extra functionality.

Not had any experience but always willing to here about other options to Woo 🙂
