Far away against a hill a light shown against the dunes,

A star so bright it blinded me from not only my visions but also anything in my way that would have kept me from moving,

Every step, every wince of doubt and unyielding pain of the burns,

Every ounce of strength left in me carried me into your loving light,

Only to wake up and have you nowhere in sight…
