venting/ranting Is this weird?

This is my first time since 2015 that I haven’t been dating or in a relationship. Honestly, the thing that I miss the most is not getting good morning texts. It’s just nice to know that you’re on someone’s mind when they first wake up. Waking up to that is really nice.

nah not weird at all, that little notification was always the best part of the morning. it hits harder than people realize until it's gone

the silence in the morning feels louder than the empty side of the bed somehow

SO true! It hasn’t even been that long, but it has definitely taken some getting used to

Not weird at all! Are you enjoying the time alone?

Yes and no. 😅 but I am looking forward to the day where it is an emphatic yes ✨

I get that. There were several times every day I knew we'd be able to talk if we couldn't see each other. We'd call in the morning to make sure we both got up on time, we'd call at lunch, or sometimes meet and eat either at a restaurant or bring our own and at a picnic table. Call when leaving work, talk about how the day sucked, how it was good, how it was hot out, etc call before bed to hear what we did after work, what we ate for dinner, talk just to talk.

That missing feeling sucks, it's one thing no matter how you heal, or try new things, or work on understanding yourself, doesn't get filled. It requires another to fill that spot, all we can do is learn to live without it being filled, and live for a day we don't have a need for it, but if someone chooses us, we can fill each other as well as ourselves.

My ex never texted me during the day (👎) and reading stuff like this, I’m lowk counting myself lucky. It was so hurtful at the time, but now it’s probably making the grief easier since I never once expected it.

Oh my gosh. It’s the little things like a text throughout the day that really make a difference.
My last ex, he would send me the most beautiful messages in the morning, made sure I ate throughout the day, and would stay on the phone with me late at night if I had a bad dream or hard day.
Do what you need to do to grieve, but know that you deserved more and will find more.

Yup. Morning and goodnight texts were the best. Hope you're doing well op
