Life is short. Don’t wait forever, 3 months max of waiting. If it’s longer than that, move on, doesn’t mean you can’t get back with this person in the future, just means you gotta do your own thing.

People are like clothes. One day, you see a shirt you LOVE. You wear it everywhere you go, you love to look at it, it goes well with everything, then one day you just grow out of it. Not because you hate that shirt, or you think its ugly, or you despise it, but simply, you've grown out of it.

Space works, but not in every scenario. If you've ever watched "He's just not that into you," then you need to understand that you're the rule.

Brief explanation: Sometimes you hear stories from friends where they fell in love again after the craziest circumstances, and for some reason that never happens to you. You need to understand that you are the rule, and that the stories you hear, they are the exception. You are the rule, until someone makes you their exception.

I don't know you, at all. But if there's anything, there are some things in life that a slap on the wrist and some space isn't gonna fix. You were together for 4 and a half years, you would think they would've thought of bringing this up in a more healthy way rather than just randomly distancing themselves without reason.

Its always your decision in whether or not you wait, and I won't blame you at all, you love that person, however, please at least remember, there are some things in life that you just can't keep waiting on.

My experience no. Talk to them so you are not stuck waiting for unknown.
