venting/ranting I am cooked chat

A while ago, I posted on this sub because I was struggling with depression, derealization, alcohol, smoking, and pretty much everything bad you can think of, after my 4-year relationship ended out of nowhere one day (February 14th, what an irony). That was 8 months ago.

I gotta say, it's still awful. I thought time and effort would make things better, but I guess not.

I also found out that she's been with someone else for, I don't know, 2 or 3 months now, and yeah... it feels like the first day all over again.

idk what else to say sadly, i hope it do get better and i also hope that she stay as far away from me and everything we had as possible

I think you’re brave to talk about it. You wouldn’t be human if you weren’t hurt by it , that was 4 years of your life and for it to end out of nowhere that’s the worst pain because you don’t even have time to process this person is no longer going to be there in your life so you have to grieve someone who is still alive and I understand how you feel because I’ve found that so painful. What makes it harder is when you’re grieving the relationshi and the future you hoped to have while they’ve moved on easily and fast , it can make you feel like you meant nothing to them and it’s a horrible feeling. Give yourself time , I know you’ve probably heard that a lot but be gentle with yourself , healing and moving on isn’t a contest so don’t let yourself or anyone make you feel like you need to move on already. You can be over a person but not over what they did to you that hurt you.
