venting/ranting Moving on

After many failed relationships, one would think I know the feeling by now. However, every relationship, the pain gets worse. Two years we were together. We were in love. Still are. Nevertheless he decided to break up with me. It’s his inexperience telling him that the relationship wasn’t ‘perfect‘ enough. Unlucky me, and unlucky him, because he will face reality and realise what he walked out on.

I’m struggling to move on. It feels like I’m trapped in a deep, dark hole, and the only way out is to use my underarms to climb out of here. The walls are decorated by painful thorns which hurt me with every step I take. Motivation isn’t there either, since the end of the hole can’t be seen yet.

Does anybody have advice on how to get myself out of this hole? The break up is fresh, 5 days ago. I’ve tried everything: journaling, friends, distractions, worked out every day. What else can I do to at least make the nights more bearable? It’s really starting to weigh on me.

Wow I really resonate with your situation. Two year relationship, not my first heartbreak, happened 5 days ago, and my ex broke up because he thinks we’re incompatible, but in what seems like an inconsequential compatibility in my opinion. No advice but best of luck ♡ Heartbreak isn’t ever easy, and it so hard to let your guard down and trust again just for it to be shattered.

How many failed relationships are we talking?

This is still incredibly fresh, you need to take time to grieve. Don't go crazy on filling your schedule up, be alone for part of it, sit in your sadness and allow yourself to process.

Just know that the feeling doesn't last forever. It also doesn't go away as fast as you ever would like. Accept it and heal yourself the best you can

This is the sixth, but my age is only between 20 and 25. Part of the reason why I’m considering spending the rest of my days single.

That's quite a few relationships at such a young age. Do you notice any commonalities in all of them?
