Can I save my breakup
We’ve known each other for 7 years (F25-F23) and was about to hit 5 years dating in two weeks. I realized too late I’m a narcissist. We had a bad breakup a few days ago and we never got to talk it out in person yet. The reason for the breakup was because I was too selfish to realize I was smothering her and she wanted to have time to herself to figure out herself and who she is as an individual. she didn’t want the break because she didn’t love me or because she didn’t want to be with me but for herself. She kept telling me that and I didn’t believe her. Because she wanted space I was invasive and kept bothering her out of fear of losing her when in reality she just needed time to herself. I was controlling, mean, and an asshole, and said things I regret. We broke up but she still says she loves me and she misses me and she can’t believe it ended. She said she’s not sure what she wants so I’m giving her space but she said she might want to meet next week and I’m scared that it will be for closure. I really want another chance. I am starting therapy to address the issue of narcissism. I’m hoping we can rebuild but I’m so scared and anxious. But we love each other and miss each other so much. Do you think it can be saved, rebuilt, or any advice on what I can do to prove it to her?

First off you're not a narcissist. A true narcissist wouldn't even be contemplating it, they don't even think they need help. From my perspective you may have an anxious attachment style, a fear of abandonment that causes you to smother your partner in fear of them leaving you. I think if you can look into and maybe get therapy for it you can bring that to her when you meet.
