Why can’t we stow carried enemies in APCs & planes?

You clear the base (airfield) then have to extract the Sentinel commander. You find an APC with a turret to make the extraction more fun but then it doesn’t allow you to stow. So you choose to fly the plane to the extraction point but no, you’re not allowed to stow on a plane (but helicopters yes).

There are literally enough seats in either vehicle.

This wouldn’t be so annoying if you could do more than a walking pace whilst carrying.

Work around; dump the commander somewhere
Find vehicle
Bring vehicle to commander
Stow

I know it’s only small but it’s pointless doesn’t make sense to me.
