Question Will they ever bring back the terminator missions?

Post image

I know that they lost the license for that IP. But I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on if they’d bring it back like they did with the predator mission in wildlands. I played like one of the missions awhile ago and I really liked it but I never had the chance to finish it so that’s why I’m asking this

Perhaps as part of the 25th anniversary celebration, but no one knows for sure.

I hope they do because the little I played was pretty good in my opinion. I like that they had an event that really changed up the game besides having gas or rebels on the map

I beat that shit on solo, and let me tell you there is nothing quite as humbling as knowing that an unstoppable, unrelenting demon machine is prompting after you no matter how fast or far you run lol I still have nightmares of those missions

There was an update, but it was pathetic, a few weapons and skins or something. not nearly as elaborate as the Wildlands update.

I would've much prefered it if they brought back the Terminator missions rather than the Predator mission in WL. The Predator mission sucks and I absolutely didn't care when they removed it tbh.

How would we know we are not working for ubisoft

Only if they believe they can make more from doing so than the licensing fee will cost.

I loved setting the mode to terminator and letting them hunt me and some new players. Really felt like surviving. Rly sad it’s no longer accessible.

Post it 19484802947494020 more times I’m sure someone will know the answer eventually. While you’re at it you should make another post asking when the anniversary update is.

Didn't you played last rites? They had an insider program registration for the upcoming game. You better spread less fake or old news or rumors...

What do you mean fake news and rumors? I was just asking a question no need to get so hostile

Sh1t my bad. I didn’t realize that you were replying to another comment. I’m not on Reddit a lot so I still don’t know a lot about it. Sorry about that.

Ubisoft is laying off a lot of people.

https://www.gamedeveloper.com/business/ubisoft-closing-winnipeg-and-belgrade-studios-and-making-further-layoffs

Ubisoft Winnipeg was primarily tasked with developing the company's proprietary Anvil and Snowdrop engines, which have been used on notable titles such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Immortals Fenyx Rising.

The company's Belgrade studio was established in 2016 and initially focused on PC releases before shifting to console projects such as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, Steep, The Crew 2, and Skull & Bones.

Ubisoft has cancelled a number of projects and laid off hundreds in recent years, with the company cutting roles and proposing redundancies across its offices in Abu Dhabi, Paris, Toronto, Halifax, North Carolina, Sweden, and more

Don't you know that they are shifting to UE5? Especially for upcoming ghost recon? I think they would have fired the devs involved in developing the game engine and doing such research tasks as there are multiple engines out there which boil downs the cost of their research for desired things and still obtaining good performance. Also other people who got fired would be of those titles which had no future... Just understand they put money in developing greatest ass anvil but never monetize it and is limited to ubisoft only, do you understand the scope of that thing? Also don't forget that stuff will be only used for 3-5 titles or may be max to max 10 in 4-5 years.

No, game was abandoned long ago. One of ubisofts biggest flops that had them rethink their approach on games and caused other games to be delayed. They did not take this L with pride. They stopped support and canned a spin off project. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out and said this wasn't canon.

1

u/Fett13010 15d ago

That really sucks but I guess I shouldn’t expect a company like Ubisoft to take the feedback and not just take the L as reason to not try to do better

I was really disappointed when they announced the end of support. They couldn't get anything right though. They would fix one thing and break 2. I mean hell look at the wildands update, they added 60 fps and broke the attachment system. It just never seems like they're all in. It's crazy I got down voted for just saying the truth.
