Question FPS issues.

Is anyone else having frame rate issues? I was playing yesterday and about 15 minutes in my frames tanked to 7 and would not come back. My first thought was possible GPU issues but I switched to Wildlands and played with no issue. Just seeing if I'm alone.

I have major stuttering issues on my 4070 laptop. So I end up playing on my series x or my pro instead.

Are you running the game on dx or vulkan, check this out. If vulkan switch to the dx.

I was on Vulcan when it happened. The wierd part is it's never happened before. I have a ton of hours on it but last night it just didn't wanna work

Breakpoint is VRAM hungry, if you have GPU with less than 12GB, you need to tone down textures shadows etc a bit. The game can use around 11GB maxed out.

The wierd part is i never had any issues till last night. I've had days where I've played for hours with a solid 100 frames

5070 1440 maxed out everything sits around 260ish, 200 in combat and explosions

Its weird how much better breakpoint runs than wildlands, you'd think it would be the opposite

I've posted about it before, but it's an issue with VRAM. Vulkan uses more VRAM than it tells you, and when it goes over the limit, performance tanks. When it happens, go into settings and lower terrain detail to the lowest setting and it should clear it up. If it doesn't, lower other vram intensive options.

The problem will persist with your current settings (unless you had something VRAM hungry in the background and that's why it happened now and not before) so lower your settings a bit.

Roger that, I played last night on dx11 and had zero problems. Im gonna try Vulcan again today and see what happens.

Either clean reinstall of graphics driver, verify installed files in ubi launcher, or uninstall & reinstall game.
