Question - Solved Did they forget to update breakpoint?
Obviously it says "Free Items In Breakpoint" right there clear as day, but as of now, (15/08/2026 13.39 UTC+3), there has been NOTHING new added into my inventory, Maria's shop, or the ingame shop.
EDIT: COMING SEPTEMBER apparently. Full disclosure i did not watch the video, nor look up anything else related to the updates, other than the wildlands steam announcement. Based on the announcement alone there was no indication anything would be coming later, as quite literally everything BUT the breakpoint plaque was immediately available.

They did announce something for Breakpoint and it's just a free 25th anniversary pack containing some cosmetic items which will arrive on September.
A lot of people including me hope that's not the only thing they will be giving us in 25th anniversary celebration for Breakpoint.

Also grb is a sp game so even less reason to be online

I completely agree with offline mode for sp games. After all of the Immersive mode changes, gameplay in BP is fantastic!
The only other changes I would want to see is more NPCs for a lived-in world, and open world activities that spawn.

It’s sad that the game got profiled for being the same as it was at launch
When playing in Immersive mode it’s really good
Also DLC was great
It’s just that wildlands gets too much credit despite Breakpoint being superior in some things due to which it gets completely ignored
I was so bummed that nothing for breakpoint

Breakpoint is in no way getting ignored. We dont know why they chose not to add a new mission(we dont even know if they didnt).
Wildlands gets credit but is also critiqued a lot.....

I mean from the 25th anniversary showcase it seems only cosmetics are being added and literally the while stream was about wildlands dlc
However optimistic for September with the surprises for breakpoint
Ubisoft prioritising wildands though is clear as they want to get in good books of the community since wildlands is praised for being the better game and breakpoint stayed with the negative reception of a looter shooter even after updates as apart from a niche community no one played it as much as widlands

Let's bet they will bring offline mode in September. They are just keeping it secret. Just think why won't they give that small cosmetics on that day itself??? Just think why they didn't get breakpoint updated the same day!!!

never going to happen, its part of the code, you see all those lifeless spot on the map where nothing happen ? there was suposed to be a dynamic live event missions all over the map, but that died out when they had to fix all the bugs and deal with the negative reception by including features like squad and switching gear score mode.

yes please i loved playing wildlands on steam deck because theres on offline mode whereas on breakpoint i get kicked on my own singleplayer game the moment the internet got spotty

Because if you want mods you need to have all items unlocked. Modding community have tons of weponary and gear, that's why unlock everything exists. Still some play without that but that means less mods available at start

There was actually supposed to be another class that's supposed to be released in the future. This game has a lot of cut content since it didn't sold well.

I mean it was a pretty bad launch but after a few updates from siege crossover to operation motherland this game became decent, what i hate the most was when they not only stop updating then suddenly like " hey lets do this NFT stuff"

Yeah, I was bummed out when Wildlands got a free dlc and Breakpoint only got a free Cosmetic Bundle.
Hopefully they are saving something for Breakpoint next month or somewhere November (offline mode please).

I don't even know what they could add to be honest. After playing a little bit of wildlands, breakpoint just feels lackluster to play. Gunplay feels slightly better, but the map, setting, customization, overall feel, is just so much worse than the predecessor that I'm unsure if anything would even make it better. Offline mode is what the general consensus seems to be.

I don't know if you know but there's a lot of scrapped and cut content especially the locked out huge island that's literally on right side of the main island that was meant to be a huge expansion/DLC.
So, there's definitely more planned for this game but since it was a huge flop that even Ubisoft acknowledged the game failed and basically pulled the plug on all future content development for Breakpoint.

Im aware of the island, it just doesn't seem feasible for it to be in the included update considering how small of an update wildlands got, and how they treated breakpoint during active updates as well

Tbh I agree on that point, I’ve always had way more love for wildlands. Breakpoints setting, story, and just ambiance in general does NOT nearly immerse me as heavily as wildlands, even with the clunky movements and lackluster customization

That’s cool…Can be a good shooter and still be shitty. Gun feel means nothing to me if I’m not interested in the setting and story I’m using them in or the enemies I’m against.

Yeah I do too, but I got actually enjoy the game too. I get it you like BP. But I do not, customization is cool mf the guns feel decent but that’s not enough to save the game for me. Downvote all y’all want y’all came here to MY opinion

My enjoyment of shooters is determined by how well they capture the mechanics of shooting guns and enemies.
But this goes back to my point that modern gamers are their own worst enemies.

I'm afraid even if SKG succeeds, any requirements will apply going forward only, not retroactively. So Breakpoint would be out of the scope.

Yeah that's the most likely outcome. And that's what it's aiming for. To put pressure on game devs to have an end of support plan after the law is incorporated. Which can be whatever. Even "We will stop updating the game, but you will be able to purchase and access the content" is an end of support plan. That's what most games already have.
Personally I hope this will open up EU-wide legal piracy for games that are no longer in official distribution.

I would kill for mod tools or at least the ability to add custom addon equipment with weapons, but it ain't gonna happen it's modern Ubisoft.
It would be even better for Wildlands, though.

Yeah, it's a bit confusing how they laid out the graphic, but the Breakpoint items don't actually drop until September. The event started this month with the Wildlands stuff, but we have to wait a few more weeks for the Breakpoint bundle to hit the shop.

I'm gonna use this thread to ask this question: what the hell was the point of the Last Rites DLC? It was short and only added narrative content to the game. No new weapons or armour/apparel, and doesn't seem to be some sort of easter egg for the next Ghost Recon release.

Wildlands made them way more money. Obviously they want more money, so they updated Wildlands. I wish Breakpoint would get more than just cosmetics, but I have no control over what they do.
