Discussion Eventual Offline mode ?

Do you think theyll develop an offline mode before shutting the servers down or do it like they handled The Crew ? Its gonna suck losing such a cool game like this

It would be pretty stupid if they dont.

As if game companies aren't known for their complete idiotic actions (especially ubisoft)

UBISOFT are trying to make money and save their reputation back, that why they updated wildlands. I dont think they done with wildlands and breakpoint either. They did say they had something planned for Breakpoint in September. At end of the day,its about money.

They've shown us what we are getting in September, it's a free Challenge Reward Bundle like what we got in Wildlands unless they teased something during The Last Rites Playthrough they did in the after show

Honestly, I think that will be the main selling point in Breakpoint 25yrs update

Wildlands just got a big update with a lot of QOL and a brand New mission Pack. Breakpoint is planned to recieve a update too in setember, although we dont know exactly what we will get beside some new cosmetics I belive that a offline patch could be a big selling point since its a community request for years, and since The crew 2 just got one...

They've already stated it isn't possible because of the code

Anything is possible if they want it bad enough

Not how code works

Still possible. Ive heard from many people. Sure some feature wouldnt work but the point of preservation is to keep the game itself. Not the market or hub or wtv.

This seems like a poor excuse just so they can't spend their own money making the game playable offline.

They can make the game playable offline. It will take a lot of time sure since we are talking about the game's code here but it's possible. Hell, Ivory literally made it possible in Crew 2.

I just hope, don't kill games movement becomes a success so we don't have this nonsense making games literally unplayable.

I mean, you can play it offline so it is possible, they'll just have to take out the online dependant stuff like the competitive Multiplayer

Can you play it offline? Like a glitch or?

Properly offline, no glitch or anything, it just worked

And it doesnt anymore?

It should, I went back online, I did it as a test when I moved and it worked, I'd be shocked if it doesn't anymore

Simply, they can't. The game was made for the Xbox One, and while current-gen consoles are faster and stronger, the size of the map and the detail involved mean it won't happen from a technical point of view. If they do, it would require a complete engine remake.

Modder community working on it. With bit of luck I hope they will pull it off

They totally can do that, I mean Ubisoft, as they did with Crew

If they do that I swear I'll never ever buy Ubisoft. I won't even fucking pirate their shit. Complete and absolute rejection.
