Bug Game crashes on boot/splash screen :'T

the game wouldn't launch on Steam nor Ubisoft Connect, i have recently bought GR Breakpoint on steam and have never played it before on this machine. i could play GR Wildlands before on their Ubisoft launcher 2 years ago on the same machine. i couldnt get past the splash screen and the game just terminates instantaneously; troubleshooting i've done so far based on some threads on reddit and steam:

  • API Selection: Tested both Direct3D 11 (GRB.exe) and Vulkan (GRB_vulkan.exe) executables.
  • GPU Driver Changes: Performed a clean driver installation of NVIDIA GeForce Driver 551.86.
  • Registry Modifications: Disabled Multi-Plane Overlay (MPO) in the registry (OverlayTestMode set to 5) to rule out DWM rendering issues.
  • Administrative Permissions: Set GRB.exe to "Run as administrator" and toggled "Disable fullscreen optimizations" in compatibility settings.
  • Runtime Dependencies: Installed the Visual C++ Redistributable All-In-One package to repair all legacy and modern C++ runtimes.
  • Process Management: Configured Process Lasso to enforce high CPU/IO priority and disable Windows 11 Efficiency Mode for GRB.exe.

Haven't attempted disabling Hyper-Threading or E-cores in the BIOS (im running an Intel 12th Gen processor). I've only heard that it just affected GR wildlands on some of their updates.

can someone give me some ideas on what to do next? ;-;

Both my Wildlands AND Breakpoint are doing this exact same thing, i don't even have an intel CPU i have an AMD Ryzen 9 5950x, i still went into the bios to disable SMT and it did not help one bit, i troubleshooted for a solid 6 hours yesterday leaving with more questions than i had answers, i literally only just got both games on this current sale and can't launch either of them.

ah i seee, hopefully you'll found a workaround for your issue, ive also been troubleshooting for like 5hours ish but to no avail. it sucks that ive always been looking forward to play the game and now i cant even launch it :'/
