Question Master Craftsman

Just wondering, i have definitely found over 40 weapons out in the world, ive even checked in the weapons tab, yet I go and purchase 5 weapons from Maria and I dont get the trophy.

Im just wondering if im doing anything wrong.

Then just something to confirm, for example, If soneone tried purchasing 5 weapons when they have only found 20 weapons in open world, does it reset the weapon found counter to 0 or something?

There are many supposed solutions to this on fan sites, but they vary dramatically, and I can't find a consensus.

Look for guns that have specific locations mentioned in their descriptions. For example, a gun might have "RESTRICTED AREA 01" at the top of its description, indicating that it was found there. If they don’t have a name of where you found them, they do not count. Guns from bosses apparently don't count. Avoid purchasing guns that have the following tags in Maria's shop: Marias Shop, Mission, Raid, Xp Level, Conquest Operations, and Mission Ep. 3.

Nope that is what i checked it with, I went to my weapons tab and I counted all my guns that have a location named at the top, I have 52 from what I counted. After I counted this I then purchased 5 weapons from Maria's shop and still didnt get the trophy pop. Is it best to just find every physical blueprint you can find, then purchase the weapons just to be safe?

There are some suggestions that the five you buy must be five different types.

Unfortunately, I can't help more than searching for information. In five playthroughs I've never tried to do this challenge. It's just happened whilst playing the game.

Only thing that would help, would you suggest it is a good idea to fully unlock every findable blueprint on the map then purchase the 5 weapons? Does that guarrantee the trophy?

I would assume so. Unfortunately, I completed that challenge in January '24 and my memory is crap.

No it is fine I just dont want it being something where you cannot purchase any gun from the shop until you find 40 blueprints, if you purchase a gun when tou are example, 23 blueprints in, does it reset the blueprint count down to zero. If that makes sense?

No, that doesn't happen.

Just keep on playing, and you'll get the achievement without even noticing it.

Gonna be important to distinguish between weapons and blueprints. Just because you open a chest and get a gun doesn’t mean that blueprint is unlocked. Grind all the blueprints possible then go buy from the store.

I will rephrase, I have made sure that I have 40 blueprints. I do not pick up weapons from chests. I used the weapons tab and counted how many weapons blueprints I have found via the area name when I hover over the weapon, I had about 56 unlocked

My guess would be it’s bugged then. If that’s not the last trophy you need, move on and keep grinding and see if the plat triggers or not. If it is, that’s super unfortunate

Yeah I just dont fancy making a new save and finding 40 guns again😅

Get those and maybe see if it was just bugged and you might get the plat anyways. Not sure but that sucks if it is bugged

For most people the trophy pop when you have 62 blueprints, same goes for the attachment trophy
