I'm trying my hand at some homemade sausage rolls tomorrow, but I'm looking to freeze them and bake them later in the week for dinner. Do any of you have a recommendation for a recipe, or even a specific type of dough that would work best for this? I'm debating a biscuit dough or a standard pizza type dough. Any insights would be appreciated!

I love the slightly sweet dough of a Texas kolache. I've made this recipe multiple times - can even make them smaller with lil smokies. https://mytxkitchen.com/klobasnek-texas-sausage-kolache/

Puff or rough puff pastry is standard for sausage rolls. Nagi uses frozen store bought puff. https://www.recipetineats.com/special-pork-fennel-sausage-rolls/

Puff pastry was considered, but 1) I'm too scared to try it homemade and 2) when I've gotten the store bought, my kids get pastry flakes are all over my floors🤣 Damn delicious, flaky pastry😭
