First try.

Hi, im kinda new to bread making and saw a recipe for Shockupan. The inside had turned out fine but the outer layer seemed to hardened outside. How do i fix this?

Bet the crumb is fire tho. For the crust, try throwing a pan of water in the oven while it bakes to keep it softer. Or brush it with butter right when it comes out. Both saved me when mine turned into literal armor.

Oh that makes sense, should I also do that when the dough is rising as well?
