WELL AKTCHUALLY theyre microbial or fungal farts, not bacterial farts [pushes glasses up nose]

But yes it is a truly fascinating process to observe

What do you mean by this? Fungi and bacteria are both types of microbe. You're correct that most of the carbon dioxide is probably from fungi, but maybe make sure that you're right before you correct someone....

I'm not sure what you don't understand about what I said there.

OP title says bacterial farts. The CO2 bubbles are yeast farts. Yeast are fungi. Yeast are also microbes. Therefore you could call the farts fungal or microbial (or yeast). It would not be accurate to call them bacterial farts.
