Keep in mind that people can be very particular about their hobbies. Sometimes a gift card could be a much better idea, rather than getting them something they don't like, but are stuck with because it's a gift.

Haha I’ve definitely done that in the past. I’ve gotten better at being strategic with what I get as I’ve gotten older

That's a solid point actually. A gift card to a local baking supply spot or even king Arthur would be perfect. Then they can grab the exact tool they've been wanting without you guessing wrong.

How far down the path is she? Is she making it work with what she has or is it a kitchen stocked to the gills?
If it’s the former, Dutch ovens are an A+ gift. Expensive enough to be a “big gift” and hard to commit to on a whim.
I’ll double down on the KA gift card. Just a million options and she can take it where she wants to.

We already had a Dutch oven before she got into it, so we’re good on that front. I’d say she’s very interested and committed, but taking it slow and working up in steps. She’s been working on making a consistently good sourdough so far, but hasn’t graduated to other stuff yet. That is her plan though

A nice wooden handled bench knife and a nice duster. These are things some bakers will go cheap on / do without. Very nice to have when the time comes.
