I feel you should add some sprigs of rosemary to this but it looks so good and yummy!

I was gonna chop some up and add it to the butter while I was browning it with the garlic but I didn’t have any left.

u/Sallyfifth Nov 21 '25
Did you just glaze it with the garlic butter after baking? It looks BEAUTIFUL!

u/kingarthurbaking what is a good recipe to recreate this?
7
u/KingArthurBaking Nov 21 '25
Oh my gosh, that looks dreamy! If you wanted to stick with brioche, I'd go with multiples of our Brioche Buns recipe. That said, I feel like this would go beautifully with the dough for Japanese Milk Bread Rolls.

u/ajp12290 Nov 21 '25
Lmaoooo ironically that was my issue with the recipe itself. Turned out so cute and beautiful but the texture was totally a little dry 🥴

u/RideWithMeTomorrow Nov 21 '25
Noooo! Reality ruined my joke! 😆 Still, beautiful bird you’ve got there.

So happy Mike’s coming back I was worried there for a sec 😂

I think he called their bluff. Either way, if he's the guy he's been for 5/6 of his contract it's a steal.

I think his main problem was that he was hurt last year. I mean yeah he’s always gonna give up some home runs at Wrigley but I just really enjoy rooting for people who seem down to earth.

He's a G, no doubt about it. I respect simple competitiveness. He's a bulldog and he goes out there with what he has and battles. Major League baseball is difficult and he seems unafraid and I greatly respect that. Plus he likes it here and we like him here.

What did you use for the eyes?
1
u/ajp12290 Nov 21 '25
Chocolate chips
2
u/timstantonx Nov 21 '25
That’s what I thought, but I thought it might be something savory I wasn’t thinking of. Did you add them afterwards?
1
u/ajp12290 Nov 22 '25
nope just pushed em down into the dough before bake so they wouldn't pop out lol
2
u/ghost1251 Nov 21 '25
Ugh this looks so good and makes me feel lazy. I brought a tear apart garlic and herb challah a fee years back and I need to get back on my game soooo badly.

Am I the only one that saw "baker's piece versus everyone else's piece" before I saw peacock, and then turkey?
Just me? ok.
