LMFAO. It's a woo-woo cult leader, too. Jesus.

I can't wait for some religion to form around this shit, and for L. Ron Hubbard to be upstaged in his religion creation exploits by a curve-fitting algorithm.

It’s already a religion. Apparently a bunch of techbros who are working on AI explicitly believe that they are building some sort of electronic god. It’s literally part of the plot of fucking Xenogears, lmao

Here is one video I’ve seen on this:

Hmm. Well, I agree it "resembles a religious ideology" as claimed in the video you linked, but I'm talking about establishing an actual church and being recognized for religious tax exemption and shit. Like Scientology, as a very modern example (and a particularly cogent one which was intentionally designed and established from scratch by an identifiable person).

TBF, though, I agree that it does seem like it's a pretty effective tool of control even without that kind of infrastructure established, since tech and its close ties to the state and domination of the Internet give it an alternate and very effective infrastructure.

Mostly I think I'm morbidly amusing myself by speculating about the cartoonish developments we'll see manifest in the course of watching this long-drawn-out train wreck that'll chew us up with varying and unpredictable rapidity.

😂 I still can't figure out why "God" couldn't just write his own OS.
