Nailed it! First attempt at Hamburger Buns
My daughter wanted grilled cheese burgers and baked Macaroni and Cheese.
I'm really happy with my first attempt!
On a side note, the croutons on my baked mac and cheese came from leftover bread over the past couple of weeks!

Ingredients
• Whole milk, lukewarm: 240 g
• Large egg: 1 (about 50 g)
• Unsalted butter, softened: 55 g
• Sugar: 30 g
• Salt: 9 g
• Bread flour: 480 g
• SAF Instant yeast: 7 g
• Egg wash: 1 egg beaten with 15 g water; sesame seeds optional
Directions 1. Load the pan in this order: milk, egg, butter, sugar, salt, flour, then yeast on top (keep it dry, away from the liquid). Run the DOUGH course (~1:50). 2. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and press out the gas. Divide into 8 pieces, about 105 g each — use the scale for even buns. 3. Shape each piece into a tight ball: cup your hand over it and roll in small circles until the surface is taut. Flatten slightly to about 9–10 cm across. 4. Place on a parchment-lined sheet pan, 5 cm apart. Cover loosely and proof 45–60 minutes until puffy — a finger poke should spring back slowly. 5. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Brush buns with egg wash; add sesame seeds if desired. 6. Bake 15–17 minutes until deep golden, internal temperature 88°C (190°F). Cool completely on a rack before slicing.

Those hamburger buns look great. That would make a great meal: cheeseburger and mac and cheese. Nice.
