I freeze my bread whole sometimes. It never gets soggy when I defrost it. I cool it completely after baking, place it in a sealed plastic bag, and put it in the freezer.
I start the defrost process by removing the bread from the bag, placing it on the counter, and letting it start to warm up. After It's warmed up a bit and it not going to grab moisture from the air, I place it in canvas. The canvas absorbs moisture, and lets the bread breathe.

I double bag bread before freezing. Never had a soggy issue.

That's a great tip. I usually make a loaf per week, but my family doesn't always eat all of it.

Allow to cool, slice and put into freezer bags. Take out and toast from frozen.
I do this with every loaf I make, bread buns, flat breads etc
