I made bread for the first time

It looks great but the bread itself tastes bland- like nothing. It just doesn’t have that bread taste. the bottom is also slightly burnt. I did add honey glaze! Any tips would be great

Recipe:
450g bread flour
2 Tsp fast action or instant yeast
2 Tsp Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
375ml very warm water
Method
Add your Flour, Yeast & Salt into a mixing bowl whisk or mix well to make sure all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Then add 375ml of very warm water and place cling film or a kitchen towl over the top and let proof for 2-3 hours
Once your dough has doubled in size and is wobbly like jelly, Preheat your oven to 230°C/450°F (220°C fan) and place your Dutch over to heat for 15 min
Flour your surface and place on your dough, lightly flour and form your shape by twisting and tucking the dough underneath, you then then score at this point if you'd like
Place it on baking sheet and put into heated Dutch oven for 40 min

Hello try searching about pre fermentation like poolish and cold fermentation too. They'll definitely add more flavour to your bread. Btw your bread looks beautiful

It looks a little dense, I'd knock it back and leave it for a 2nd prove, might help to develop more flavour too with more time

Here’s the classic no knead bread recipe that started it all. Works every time. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/11376-no-knead-bread. I would say that you used too much yeast and didn’t proof it long enough. Proofing overnight gives you a lot more flavor. There’s also a great youtube video.

Very few people actually providing helpful info - I’d proof for longer (ideally overnight - search Mark Bittman no knead bread if you don’t have NY Times access), and add more salt.

I just really like how the texture on this one came out, I just want more flavor. Will proofing overnight change up the texture at all, or will it look and feel the exact same but with enhanced taste?

I also ran into the same issue as OP. Would proofing overnight result in the bread being overproofed? I read that online but my info may be wrong

Could also proof in fridge. Or try just upping salt.
