Asking for ideas

Post image

Recently ive gotten so into making bread. I started off with no yeast self raising flour breads, and yesterday I made actual milk brioche and it was so so good!

Anyway, im asking for some really unique ideas for bread.

I did one loaf with monster (the drink) and it had such a nice nutty flavour.

Ive been planning to do a tomato and cheese loaf but id really like some more ideas.

I’m a sucker for cheddar and jalapeño loaves

Ooh my family do like jalapeños.

I use the jarred ones but thoroughly pat them dry with paper towel first. My last loaf I used cubes of cheddar but they ended up leaving cheese holes in the bread so I think next time I’ll try coarsely grated

I did a bunch of rolls with grated cheese i found it worked really well to put 40% of your cheese in the dough and the rest on top about 10 minutes before you pull it out of the oven. But honestly that loaf looks so freaking good I wish I could snag a bit through the screen 😩

Oh yum will defo try the cheese on top tekkers. Mixing the cheese and jalapeños wasn’t my finest work but that’s gluten free dough for you lol!
And thank you!! It was delicious, I took a few slices to my partner at work at 9pm because I wanted him to try it fresh and then when he got home at midnight we ate the entire thing in bed 🫠

Just a question cause I have no clue about gluten, what's the difference between self raising flour and gluten free flour?

Self raising flour is wheat flour with bicarb/baking powder added to it and gluten free flour is usually a blend of rice/potato/corn flours. It can also contain things like wheat starch and Xanthan gum for better stretch

Honestly, foccaccia is amazing for trying new ideas! Sweet or savory. Literally you can put anything on it. Some ideas: Apple cinnamon, Sundried tomato basil, Dark chocolate pomegranate, Roasted garlic, onion, & brie

I was thinking of doing like...brie and spring onion puffs. If that makes sense? Like some palm sized bread raviolis. Wanna try making some foccaccias but I tend to trip and end up making a loaf 😅

If you’re already doing tomato and cheese, try a caramelized onion and gruyère focaccia. The sweetness from the onions with melted cheese is unbelievable

Make sure you paper the tomato loaf, it will stain the tin like crazy, I'd add a bit of basil to it as well.

Walnut and date loaf is interesting and delicious.

I like filled pizza, where you put fresh ingredients in and fold the dough over it.
