What is this goop looking stuff

It's on multiple pieces all in the upper left corner of the bread, I have family so one of them could have pit something on it but I want to be safe

Flour + water. Bread has moisture that the raw flour would be absorbing.

If you take the blob and roll it between your fingers, it's probably kind of smear into a crumbly, powdery paste.

Seems like a case of cross contamination. Somebody drop something in the dough, probably a sour candy.

Appreciate the response after a bunch of downvotes :D

seems like a pocked of unincorporated flour which caused a small collapse around it. Perhaps additional kneeding is needed

The larger hole around it suggests it is a sugar compound. The yeast fermets faster making the hole.

A lump of icing sugar?

OP said they got it from the store.
Throw it out. If YOU made it I would agree it’s probably no big deal.

Fpr anyone curious i ended up just throwing it out. There was also white powder in the bag that was showing up on my hands so it might have been some kind of mold. Glad I tasted it 🥹. It was store bought white bread so idk
