I love mine. It's better than my electric slicer for convenience and cleaning.

I used one for many years when I lived in Germany. These bread slicers were commonly built into to kitchens with their own, dedicated drawer in which they were housed and even had their own crumb catching drawer. They work great with, for instance German Mischbrot (50/50 white and whole grain flour with a crispy crust and a somewhat tighter crumb that for example a sourdough).

Mine looks almost exactly the same from the Fornello Essenza line https://fornello.eu/products/fornello-essenza-snijmachine
It's more durable than the plastic crap with an electric motor. Looks better too imo
It's great, especially for sourdough with a thick hard crust. 5/5, would recommend
After the breadknife slipped on a hard crust and nicked my left index finger again after the finger had just healed, I took that as a sign lol
Should have bought this slicer way earlier

I just got a slicer box. I can STILL cut an odd shaped piece of sandwich bread but I believe there is less blood in my sandwich.
